KaziNyumbani

Terms of Use

Effective 17 October 2026

These terms are between you and KaziNyumbani (“KaziNyumbani”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use KaziNyumbani

2. What KaziNyumbani is

We are an introduction marketplace. We connect people who need work done with people who do it, in homes, farms, shops, offices and sites. We are not the employer or agent of any worker, we do not guarantee any worker's skills, conduct or availability, and any employment is a direct arrangement between employer and worker. Employers are responsible for lawful pay, contracts, safe working conditions and statutory obligations. Workers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles.

3. Identity checks are between you

KaziNyumbani does not collect, check or store national IDs, and we do not verify who anyone is. Before a worker and an employer confirm a pay agreement on the platform, the worker must share their national ID with the employer and the employer must see it. Each of you confirms this with a tick box. Do this in person or on a call, and do not type ID numbers into the chat. A confirmation is not a background check, police clearance, reference check or recommendation by us, and we are not responsible if it is false. Employers should do their own checks and meet in a safe place.

4. Fees

Showing the fee for job seekers.

5. Employment law

Clients must comply with the Employment Act, 2007 and related Kenyan law, including a written contract where the Act requires one, at least the applicable statutory minimum wage, timely payment of wages, rest days and leave, safe working conditions, and statutory contributions and deductions (such as NSSF and social health insurance). Nobody may discriminate unlawfully. No person under 18 may use KaziNyumbani to find or offer work; child labour is prohibited by law and we will remove such accounts.

6. Acceptable use

You must not: post false, misleading or discriminatory content; harass, threaten or exploit anyone; advertise illegal work, child labour, trafficking or any exploitation; share another person's contact or ID details, or confirm that you saw or shared an ID when you did not; scrape the Service; try to avoid the fees by publishing or sharing contact details obtained through KaziNyumbani with others; or attempt to break or overload the Service.

7. Content and reporting

You are responsible for what you post (profiles, photos, job posts, messages). You grant us a licence to display it in the Service. Use the Report button on any profile or job to flag content. We review reports and may remove content, suspend accounts or share information with authorities where the law requires.

8. Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard (Settings → Delete account) or at /delete-account.

9. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent Kenyan law allows, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of users, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction.
